Yumi 2D for iPad
Privacy policy
Effective October 1, 2026
The short version: data not collected
Yumi 2D doesn't collect, store on a server, share or sell any information about you. Your artwork, brushes and settings stay on your iPad, or wherever you choose to save them.
What the app keeps, and where
Everything Yumi 2D saves is stored on your iPad, inside the app's own storage:
- Projects you save, in the app's folder, which you can see in the Files app under On My iPad › Yumi 2D, together with any timelapse recordings of them.
- Autosaves of open work, so a crash or restart doesn't lose it.
- Brushes, fonts and palettes you create or add.
- Your settings, such as handedness, pressure response, stabilizer and Apple Pencil options.
None of this leaves your iPad unless you move it yourself. Deleting Yumi 2D deletes all of it, except files you've saved somewhere else.
Files you open, export or share
Yumi 2D only reads files you pick yourself, such as an image, a PSD file, a brush or a font. It can't browse other apps' files.
When you choose a picture from Photos, for a reference image or a brush shape, the system's photo picker hands Yumi 2D only the picture you choose. The app never sees the rest of your library.
If you choose Save Image when exporting, iPadOS asks whether Yumi 2D may add images to your photo library. That permission only lets the app add pictures, never read them, and you can change it at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Photos.
When you export or share artwork, you choose where it goes through the standard iPadOS share sheet or Files. From there, the app or service you picked handles it under its own privacy policy. If you keep projects in iCloud Drive, Apple stores them under Apple's privacy policy.
No internet connection
Yumi 2D doesn't connect to the internet. It contains no analytics or advertising code and no third-party software development kits that send data anywhere, and it never asks for access to your location, camera, microphone or contacts.
Crash reports from Apple
If you've chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPad's settings (Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements), Apple may send the developer anonymous crash reports and usage statistics about Yumi 2D. They don't identify you, and they're used only to find and fix bugs. You can turn this off at any time in the same place.
Children
Yumi 2D collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
This website
This website has no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. It loads its fonts from Google Fonts, and it's hosted by Cloudflare, which keeps standard server logs to run and protect the site.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of Yumi 2D ever handles your information differently, this page will be updated before that version is released, and the effective date above will change.
